Statement of Program

Mountain View Christian Counseling Overview

Mountain View Christian Counseling provides a faith-based approach to help individuals, couples, and families overcome common struggles, including:

  • Relationship issues
  • Depression
  • Bitterness
  • Addictions

Six-Step Counseling Framework

The counseling process follows a structured, six-step framework:

  1. Identify the Source: The counselor uses testing, past recounting, and targeted questions to discover the root of the struggle. (Biblical Principle: 2 Corinthians 5:17)
  2. Introduce the Solution: Clients are introduced to Jesus Christ as the primary solution for their emotional, spiritual, and relational needs. (Biblical Principle: Colossians 1:20)
  3. Instruct with Scripture: Counselors provide biblical guidance relevant to the client's needs using the Word of God and truth-based resources. (Biblical Principle: Proverbs 9:10, 15:33)
  4. Invest Hope: Specific support and hope from God's Word are offered to clients dealing with difficult issues like abuse, addictions, depression, or doubt. (Biblical Principle: Romans 15:13)
  5. Instill Skills: Clients develop personal discipline, necessary skills, and daily patterns for spiritual and emotional victory through various tools, including Bible instruction, homework, and reading. (Biblical Principle: Psalm 119:11)
  6. Inform the Community: The ministry promotes its counseling services primarily through word of mouth and the church's website.
